Sizing on the Fly

When you’re working with an image with varying spot sizes, there is a way to change the circular spot tool as you work. Hold down the Command + Option (Mac) or Control + Alt (PC) keys before creating a new spot. Click on the center of the spot and then drag outward until the spot is covered. Lightroom will choose a source point.

Deleting a Spot

With a spot active, press the delete key. Alternatively, right-click on any spot, and choose Delete from the flyout menu. Lastly, you can hold the Option (Mac) or Alt (PC) key to turn the cursor into a scissors, which will delete any spot you click. On Mac, deleting a spot will show a cloud of smoke with a reassuring “poof” sound to let you know it’s vanished from the image.
